台風7号ドルフィンからのグランドスウェルにより
5/18（月）の朝一には頭オーバーの波に恵まれた鴨川エリア。
今回はそんな南千葉での台風セッションの模様を

TYPHOON DOLPHIN SESSION #1
Mid May and Japan is on the 7th typhoon of the 2015 season. Could this be the year of endless typhoons? There have already been record breaking storms in the start of the season and specialists are expecting a spectacular year. Typhoon Dolphin started pushing head high surf into south Chiba this morning and everyone was ready.
5月中旬に台風7号を迎えた2015年の日本。
これは台風の当たり年のはじまりなのか！？
例年に比べてここまで早い時期に台風が接近するという
記録破りな状況に期待は高まるばかりである。
そんな台風7号ドルフィンは、
早朝から頭オーバーの波を南千葉に届けてくれた。

Session #1 was underway with Hideo Murata nailing a tight snap in the clean conditions of the morning. Patience pays off for Kasai san and he swoops into a lined up right-hander.
そんな台風7号セッションの#1は、
モロトヒデオがクリーンな波にねじ込むタイトなスナップと共に幕を開けた。
この波を待ち構えていたカサイさんは
レギュラーの波に狙いを定めてラインナップに着く。

Yukio Ogawa stops by the Seaside arena for some Dolphin before jumping a plane to Australia. Training and contests have become a religion for Happy Man and his surfing is getting stronger by each session.
台風ドルフィンの波をスコアするべくシーサイドに姿を現したのは
このあとすぐにオーストラリアへ向かう予定の小川幸男。

Red Pole shaper Masakazu Hagino finds his morning drive in the pocket, surfing with speed and power, while Momoko Sonoda draws a long line off the bottom.

長いボトムターンを味わっているあいだに
波のポケットで加速するのはRed Poleシェイパーの萩野マサカズ氏。

Yutaro Watanabe and Hyota Kitaura show up as conditions start to become tricky. Local knowledge pays off with the boys and core surfing is displayed. Yutaro strikes hard on both his frontside and backside. Hyota is in good rhythm with nature and lands a clean frontside air.
波のコンディションがトリッキーになり始めた頃になると、
Graceチームの渡邊優太郎と北浦俵太がショーアップ。
ここの波を知り尽くすロコボーイズたちによって
コアなサーフィンが繰り広げられた。
高さと安定感のあるフロントサイド・エアを見せる北浦俵太。

The low tides are extreme these days and the water drains out of Seaside leaving poor conditions for the rest of the late morning through lunchtime. Rest and lunch is calling. We’ll be back to check it this afternoon.
干潮を迎えた朝2くらいの時間帯になると同時に
波のコンディションは悪化。
正午まで一度休憩を取り、午後に備えることに。
果たして、午後の波はいかに！？
